If you need to know if your cellular phone, smartphone, tablet, or mobile device is compatible with a certain network carrier, you’ve come to the right place. Our main page is where you can search: www.willmyphonework.net
As we approach 4000 mobile devices on our website, I’ve reflected back on the progress that has been made since I first launched the site on February, 2015. Will My Phone Work has grown so much since just over a month ago. Not only have we increased our devices and carrier networks, I’ve received so many great suggestions from you, the users. Some of which have already been implemented.
I wanted to thank everyone for their feedback and kind words. I launched WillMyPhoneWork.net with one goal. To make finding out if your smartphone, cellular phone, tablet, or mobile device is compatible on any mobile network carrier in the world. A way that is easy for the user but also VERY accurate. 4000 devices is a fantastic milestone, but there’s more work ahead.
Looking towards the future, I’ve outlined a couple of goals for WillMyPhoneWork.net.
- Continue to add mobile devices, 4000 is great but what about 6000? Or 8000?
- Continue to review, update, and add mobile network carriers. This is important, WillMyPhoneWork.net is nothing if information is not accurate.
I haven’t made this clear but I want to state that the Will My Phone Work project is a side project for me. I currently work a full-time job and I spend the rest of my time with my family or the project. I’ve spent thousands of hours and dollars on WillMyPhoneWork.net. I’m really proud of the feedback so far but I want to take things to the next level.
Now that things have settled down, I’ve started looking into all the feature enhancements that you have requested. I’m in talks with my current developer and it’s clearly going to cost a decent amount of coin to implement these features. Having already upgraded hosting four times now to handle the immense traffic that I received, money will be tight.
That’s why I’m looking into potentially starting a Kickstarter campaign in order to crowdsource the funds necessary to complete the next phase of WillMyPhoneWork.net. I’ll have more information in the near future but I hope that you will be able to support me in this project.
Thank you for reading and feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions!
