Doogee (Chinese phone maker) recently launched the F5 smartphone. What makes this phone unique is that the company claims that it is made out of liquid metal. Before you let your imagination run wild, liquid metal is the mainstream name for “amorphous metal alloys”. What that means is that you’ll get corrosion resistance, high strength, and a material that is harder than aluminum and titanium. This isn’t the first smartphone to use liquid alloy (see Turing phone).
Thin light luxury is exactly what you’ll get with this phone. It packs a 3000 mAh battery, 5.5” 1080p FHD screen, 3GB RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 13MP camera, fingerprint scanner, and more.
Here’s the best part, that phone is currently on presale for $139.99. If you’re interested in knowing where you can pre-order on of these, try GearBest: http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_234308.html. That’s a good price considering that the MSRP is $150. It’s available in three different colours, light gray, deep gray, and champagne.
